all the distant little whispers, that it’s all going down

silent little dreams, in a noisy fucked town
buldings are high, sky is brown
blacktops cracked, girls are blond
hearts are bad, gold is bronze
drowing riptide, of silent despair
mounts up so high, you don’t know it’s there
you put oil in my car, to fuel the box
3 hours a day, with traffic stopped
4 bucks a gallon, no end in sight,
blocked the view from my house
now you know that’s not right
and the waves I once saw untained by man
is an oil rig, in the distance stand
and it’s all fucked up
you know who you are,
and I’ll see it again, imprisoned in my car,
and the shack I drove past ,is worth twice what it was
and the only reason why is because
they hear it all from far away,
and they believe the lies that the devil says

lures them all in from their green green grass
till they all wise up after time has passed
and they see that they’re cattle for some greedy ass man,
and trapped in by the rules of the HOA plan,
back and forth to work, miles of the same
cookie cut houses, who’s to blame,
no where to walk, no where to thrive,
no market strolls, it’s all a drive,
and all a big set up, to bleed and be bled,
to curse and be wrung dry, yell, and to dred,
